These are a few images from a new series 'Junk'. I am obsessed by second hand objects and places like this amaze me. Junk shops, the home of the lost and once loved. Items in limbo, ready to be given a new lease of life.
Here are some pictures from my recent jaunt to the Arles Photo Fest. I was lucky enough to be asked to show some work in the first ever Meatyard Arts exhibition, just off the main square in Arles. For more information on the show and for print sales please visit, meatyardarts.com. I will be posting some work taken whilst I was out there and also some more recent work done in my studio very soon.
A selection of my photographs are being exhibted at Urbis, Manchester, from June till September 2009. The exhibition features extracts from an essay written on the project by John Donaldson of Meatyard Arts.
This is the first photograph from a new series of a shut down crazy golf course in Southport. I will post the complete series when I have finished editing them.
The new website layout is up, and just to prove what this blog is all about here's a picture I have taken since the new website was launched. It is taken from a new still life series I'm working on. To see my new site please visit www.edwattsphotography.co.uk.
I thought I'd post a screen shot of the new layout of my main website. It should be up in the next couple of weeks but that depends on me getting some new work done in time to put on it!
Initially I created this blog to act as an archive for my work. I'm in the middle of updating and redesigning my main website ( www.edwattsphotography.com ), so some work will no longer be shown on the main site. I'm going use this blog to archive completed projects and also post new ongoing projects and ideas. Well that's the plan but who knows what it may turn in to.
